encouraged to study in mainstream schools in order to facilitate their adaptation to the local education system and integration into the community • 教育局就非華語學童的需要,為學校、學生及家長提 供一系列的支援措施 • EDB has been 委託香港大學發展評估工具,協助教師了解非華 語學生的中文水平,以便設計有效的學習活動 三套評估工具已上載教育局網頁 • HKU has been commissioned to develop assessment tools to facilitate teachers’ understanding of their students’ Chinese standards so as to NonChinese Speaking Students 9 指定學校及到校支援服務 Designated Schools and On-site Support Services • 在2011/12學年,20所小學及10所中學成為指定學校 • 經常性津貼及集中支援,協助這些學校累積和發展專業經驗, 以支援非華語學生的學與教 • 讓這些學校成為這方面的支柱,與其他取錄非華語學生的學 校分享經驗。 • 20 primary & 10 secondary designated schools in 2011/12 s.y. • Annual grant and focused support to facilitate their accumulation of experiences & development of expertise in the learning & teaching of NCS students • To serve as the anchor point for sharing experiences with other schools which have also admitted NCS students. 10 指定學校及到校支援服務 Designated Schools and On-site Support Services • 為指定學校提供集中支援,協助制訂校本中文課 程、訂定教學策略、編修校本教材、設計學習活 動與評估,及共同備課等 • Focused support is provided for designated schools to help them develop school-based Chinese Language curricula, formulate teaching strategies, develop school-based teaching materials, design learning and assessment activities and conduct collaborative lesson planning, etc. 11 教師培訓 Training for Teachers 為教授非華語學生的中文教師開辦培訓課程, 建立學習網絡 教育局舉辦研討會、工作坊、分享會 委託專上院校舉辦有關課程 Training programmes and learning network for Chinese Language teachers teaching NCS students Seminars, workshops & sharings organised by the EDB Programmes commissioned to tertiary institutions 12 學習中文支援中心 Chinese Language Learning Support Centre 教育局委託大專院校營辦的「學習中文支援中心」: 為非華語學生提供課後支援 舉辦工作坊,支援教授非華語學生的教師 協助發展教學資源 Tertiary institution has been commissioned to operate the Chinese Language Learning Support Centre to: provide after-school support for NCS students organise workshops for teachers of NCS students assist in the development of teaching resources 13 課後中文延展學習計劃 Project of After-school Extended Chinese Learning 為期三年的試驗計劃,在非指定學校推行,以加強課後支援 每所成功申請的學校按其參與的非華語學生數目獲提供每年 5萬元至30萬元的撥款,為非華語學生提供多元中文延展學 習活動 A 3-year pilot scheme implemented in nondesignated schools to strengthen after-school support Successful applicant schools are provided an annual funding in the range of $0.05 to $0.3 million, depending on the number of NCS students enrolled for the project, to put in place diversified extended Chinese learning programmes for NCS students 14 其他中國語文科資歷 Alternative Chinese Language qualifications 2008年起,教資會資助的院校提供進一步的彈 性,在特定情況下接受聯招申請人的其他中國 語文科資歷,例如綜合中等教育證書(中國語 文科)。 Starting from 2008, the UGC-funded institutions provide further flexibility in accepting alternative Chinese Language qualifications, e.g. GCSE (Chi), under specified circumstances under the JUPAS. 15 其他中國語文科資歷 Alternative Chinese Language qualifications 由2010年開始,合資格的學校考生報考綜合 中等教育證書(中國語文科)的考試費與香港 中學文憑考試中國語文科的考試費水平相若 Starting from 2010, eligible school candidates sitting for the GCSE (Chi) Examination are charged an examination fee on par with the HKDSE (Chi) Examination 其他中國語文科資歷 Alternative Chinese Language qualifications • • 由2011/12學年起,合資格的非華語學生 如通過入息審查及符合特定情況,可獲綜 合中等教育證書(中國語文科)考試費的 全額或半額減免。 Starting from the 2011/12 school year, eligible NCS students passing the means test & meeting the specified circumstances may receive full or half remission of the examination fee for 17 taking GCSE (Chi) 啟動課程及適應課程 Initiation Programmes and Induction Programmes • • 為協助新來港非華語學童融入學校,教育局資助 啟動課程及適應課程,並為啟動課程畢業生安排 學位 EDB has been subsidising the operation of Initiation Programmes and Induction Programmes to help the newly-arrived NCS students to integrate into local schools, and Initiation Programme graduates will be offered placement assistance 18 暑期銜接課程 Summer Bridging Programme briefing sessions with interpretation service • Set up a hotline (3540 7447) • Develop a dedicated website (http://www.edb.gov.hk/ncs) 鼓勵盡早適應 Promotion of Early Adaptation • 教育局鼓勵非華語家長送子女入讀本地幼稚園,讓非華語 兒童能盡早接觸沉浸的中文語言環境,以便順利銜接升讀 主流小學。 EDB encourages NCS parents to send their children to local kindergartens so as to promote an early exposure to an immersed Chinese environment for NCS children to smooth their progression to mainstream primary schools. • 我們會繼續 向非華語家長,介紹學前教育及學前教育學券計劃 加強為幼稚園提供專業支援 • We will continue to Introduce to NCS parent pre-primary education and the Pre-primary Education Voucher Scheme (PEVS) Strengthen professional support to kindergartens 23 建立共融學校環境 Building an inclusive school environment • 學校須不分種族致力支援所有學生的學與教、 在校內營造種族多元文化的環境、尊重文化和 宗教差異,以及與家長保持溝通,進一步提升 共融文化。 • Schools should make their best endeavours in supporting the teaching and learning of all their students irrespective of race, creating an environment to accommodate ethnic diversity, and respect
