YOUTH SUMMIT
Free the Children invites youth to discuss leadership topics and share information.Through a series of interactive
workshops, activities, and inspirational speeches, students will learn about social justice issues on a deeper level and will
build skills to continue taking action for a better world.
At the Youth Summit, students will:
● Connect with a community of like-minded young people
● Participate in motivational workshops led by WE Schools staff
● Explore pressing social issues through the lens of WE Schools resources and campaigns
● Develop action plans to positively impact their communities
● Enhance leadership skills through a lens of WE Schools' social justice programming

LEADERSHIP CAMP

Green Lake, WI
STLF's High School Leadership Camp is an intensive six day experience,
filled with team-building activities, challenging workshops, lasting
memories, and a commitment to positive change. The camp is open to all
students entering grades 9-12.
Cost:
$380
Includes all housing, meals, t-shirt leadership programming and a life changing
leadership opportunity you'll never forget!

Become a new friend to campers and assist staff in providing the best care and most fun
possible. Spend time in cabins and in groups learning a variety of skills.
Volunteer opportunities for ages 14-17

● Volunteer with campers part of the time; Leadership skill training part of the time
● Participate in the fun activities of camp such as swimming, arts & crafts, music, nature
study, sliding, rock-climbing and other fun camp based activities
● Earn service hours credit
Play Team Leaders at the
Minnesota Children’s Museum
Join a dynamic team of youth volunteers at Minnesota Children’s Museum!
Play! Spend your time playing with children in the Museum galleries and
leading creative arts programs called Go Carts. You’ll volunteer with other
high school students from around the Twin Cities and meet lots of new
people.
Learn! Gain experience working with children and build your teamwork,
communication and leadership skills. This is a great way to build your
resume for scholarships, college applications and future employment.
WHO: Play Team volunteers must be enrolled in 9th -12th grade during the 2016-2017 school year.
WHEN: Summer Play Team members choose two week and two weekend commitments during the months of June-August.
