The SHRM Foundation is conducting a multi-phase program to identify and
analyze critical trends likely to impact the workplace in 5-10 years.

The SHRM Foundation is a leading funder of HR research.
Since 2005, the SHRM Foundation has funded 60 research projects.
• Scholarships and awards
In 2014, more than 100 scholarships were awarded for academic studies
and professional certification to professional and student SHRM members,
and doctoral students.
• Educational resources
Research-based and complimentary products, including: DVDs, effective
practice guidelines, executive briefings and webinars
Thought Leadership Initiative
Conducting a multi-phase program with the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU)
to identify and analyze critical trends likely to impact the workplace in the
next 5-10 years.

The SHRM Foundation is the leading funder of HR research.
More than $3.8 million awarded since 2007.
As of September 2014:
• Currently funding 16 research projects totaling
$1,555,497
• Spring grant funding cycle received 32 grant proposals
and 2 were conditionally funded for a total of $215,000:
• Bridging Communication Gaps in HR by Mapping Constructs and Findings
• Free-Riding in Global Virtual Teams: An Experimental Study of
Antecedents and Strategies to Minimize the Problem

The SHRM Foundation's fundraising efforts, called the Annual Campaign,
includes donations, sponsorship, and revenue from fundraising events.

The SHRM Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity. As the charity affiliate of
SHRM, the SHRM Foundation is grateful for the significant support received
from SHRM, including:
