HVAC and Temperature Control Who is Bray Controls? World Headquarters in Houston, Texas • Founded in 1986 • Market share leader in automated Butterfly Valves • Plants and Distribution Centers on 5 continents and 40 countries. The Product Line • Butterfly Valves for Isolation & Control (2-20”) – Electric/Electronic Actuators – High Pressure Pneumatic Actuators – Low Pressure Pneumatic Actuators • Automated Control Valves – Characterized Ball Valves (1/2”-6”) – Pressure Independent Control Valves (1/2”-6”) – Globe Valves (1/2”-6”) • Retrofit Kits • Accessories Series 31 Resilient-Seated Valves • 2 to 20 inches • 2-Way or 3-Way – Mixing or Diverting • Bi-directional flow • Rated at 150 to 175 PSI ∆P or 50 to 75 PSI ∆P • -40˚ to 250˚F fluid temperature rating One-Piece Nylon-coated disc Tongue & Groove Seat Design One-piece stem with Double D engagement Peroxide-cured seats for maximum rubber stability Full Rated Valves MK-Series High Performance • ANSI Ratings at – 150 PSI – 300 PSI • Temperature Rating from -20˚F to 500°F • Bubble tight bidirectional close-off on water or steam Pressure assisted, not pressure reliant! • Double offset design results in higher close-off, lower torque • Two-piece seat is – Self adjusting for wear – Replaceable without removal of disc or stem • Electric/Electronic • High Pressure Pneumatic • Low Pressure Pneumatic Series 70 The Future of Electric Actuation • Smallest, lightest electric actuator on the market. • Torque from 600 to 18,000 lb. in. • Direct mounting allows low cost, reliable performance and easy service The Bray Series 70 is less than half as tall as other electric actuators, and requires less than a third of the clearance dimension for cover removal NEMA 4 Housing is polyestercoated to resist corrosion Manual override automatically engages/disengages the motor Built-in overload protection with auto reset (line voltage models) Motor and output drive are isolated from wiring and field settings Built in isolation relays prevent damage due to parallel wiring Two SPDT Switches synchronize motor control with position display Optional thermostatically controlled heater prevents condensation Patented cam design provides infinite adjustability Optional Servo Control provides • Speed Control • Modulating Control • Voltage Spike Protection O-ring seal around switch plate provides superior water-tight seal Battery Backup for Series 70 Actuators Option for the Bray series 70 actuators to provide return of the valve or damper to a user-selectable position upon loss of power. • For use on 24 VAC actuators • For use on models up to 5,000 ft./lbs. • One universal model for ON/Off and modulating • Factory installed and wired. Can also be field installed • Battery strength indication- Provides visual and electronic indication of low battery state on unit and with digital feedback to the controls station • Field selectable Normally Open or Normally Closed • Nema 4x (IP 65) enclosure- Suitable for outdoor use, subject to ambient temperature limits • In normal mode with power supplied to actuator, the batteries maintain a charge and are in an offline mode. • Upon loss of power, the BBU applies the stored battery power to move the valve or damper to the full open or full closed position. • The unit disconnects battery power from the motor when the actuator reaches the desired position. • Electric actuators with mechanical spring return are 3X the cost and limited torque • Wall mounted UPS units have to be field installed are significantly more expensive • Bray’s BBU is integral to the unit and costs significantly less. The BBU is your most economical battery back-up solution! Its large enough to accommodate tandem mounted actuator applications. The weather shield enclosure is designed to NEMA 4 specifications, and does not allow any moisture to penetrate the custom-designed seals. It's cover is constructed of a sturdy ABS material injected with ultraviolet inhibitors, which prevents the cover from becoming brittle or damaged by the sun or any other outdoor element. In addition, this semi-translucent material allows the actuator to be viewable. The base is constructed of a durable nylon blend that provides flexibility and durability. • High Product Quality and Reliability • Fast Delivery • Expert Factory Support • Expert Local Support
