STATCAB PROGRAMME
 Initiated in 2007, OIC Statistical Capacity Building
Programme (StatCaB) is the oldest initiative of
SESRIC under the OIC-VET Programme.
 An opportunity for the NSOs to share their
statistical experience and knowledge through
which experts from the member states deliver
short-term trainings based on the twinning done
from the responses collected through the
bi-annual StatCaB survey.

CERTIFICATION & ACCREDITATION
 OSTAT Programme: The Central Informatics
Organisation (CIO) of Bahrain proposed in OICStatCom-I to initiate “Accreditation of Statistical
Professionals” to help official statisticians in OIC
countries to improve their professional
competencies. The OIC-StatCom-II endorsed the
OSTAT Programme.
 Upon finalisation of procedures, Program General
Secretariat and Examination Committee will be
established to initiate trainings and exams.
