 Implementing Agreement under the International Energy Agency
legal structure; formed in 1987, 16 members
 Involves Cost-and Task-Sharing; managed by an Operating
Agent
 Executive Committee provides budget and policy guidance
 Technical Working Group and input centers (many are also the
INIS centers) provide input/technical guidance
 Scope is all areas of energy; generally, ETDE uses same
formats, standards as INIS
 MOU with INIS; hold joint INIS/ETDE JTC meetings
Many non-ETDE INIS countries are approved for
access (primarily based on economy)
