THE JOY OF SHARING THE GOOD NEWS
Romans 5:6 For when we were still without
strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die;
yet perhaps for a good man someone would even
dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates His own love
toward us, in that while we were still sinners,
Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now
been justified by His blood, we shall be saved
from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were
enemies we were reconciled to God through the
death of His Son, much more, having been
reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11 And
not only that, but we also rejoice in God through
our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have
now received the reconciliation.
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday,
today, and forever.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His
promise, as some count slackness, but is
longsuffering toward us, not willing that any
should perish but that all should come to
repentance.
1 Timothy 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in
the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all
men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of
the truth.
Matthew 28:19 "Go therefore and make disciples
of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of
the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 "teaching them to observe all things that I
have commanded you; and lo, I am with you
always, even to the end of the age." Amen.
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and
powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword,
piercing even to the division of soul and spirit,
and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of
the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel
of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation
for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and
also for the Greek.
James 1:21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and
overflow of wickedness, and receive with
meekness the implanted word, which is able to
save your souls.
2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved
unto God, a workman that needeth not to be
ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
1 Corinthians 3:1 And I, brethren, could not speak to you
as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in
Christ. 2 I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for
until now you were not able to receive it, and even now
you are still not able; 3 for you are still carnal. For where
there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you
not carnal and behaving like mere men? 4 For when one
says, "I am of Paul," and another, "I am of Apollos," are
you not carnal? 5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos,
but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord
gave to each one? 6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God
gave the increase. 7 So then neither he who plants is
anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the
increase. 8 Now he who plants and he who waters are
one, and each one will receive his own reward according
to his own labor. 9 For we are God's fellow workers; you
are God's field, you are God's building.
John 4:5 So He came to a city of Samaria which is called
Sychar, near the plot of ground that Jacob gave to his son
Joseph. 6 Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore,
being wearied from His journey, sat thus by the well. It
was about the sixth hour. 7 A woman of Samaria came to
draw water. Jesus said to her, "Give Me a drink." 8 For
His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food. 9
Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, "How is it that
You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan
woman?" For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans. 10
Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of
God, and who it is who says to you, 'Give Me a drink,' you
would have asked Him, and He would have given you
living water." 11 The woman said to Him, "Sir, You have
nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do
You get that living water?
12 "Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us
the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and
his livestock?" 13 Jesus answered and said to her,
"Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, 14 "but
whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will
never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will
become in him a fountain of water springing up into
everlasting life." 15 The woman said to Him, "Sir, give me
this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw."
16 Jesus said to her, "Go, call your husband, and come
here." 17 The woman answered and said, "I have no
husband." Jesus said to her, "You have well said, 'I have
no husband,' 18 "for you have had five husbands, and the
one whom you now have is not your husband; in that you
spoke truly."
19 The woman said to Him, "Sir, I perceive that You are a
prophet. 20 "Our fathers worshiped on this mountain,
and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one
ought to worship." 21 Jesus said to her, "Woman, believe
Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this
mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22 "You
worship what you do not know; we know what we
worship, for salvation is of the Jews. 23 "But the hour is
coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will
worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is
seeking such to worship Him. 24 "God is Spirit, and those
who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." 25
The woman said to Him, "I know that Messiah is coming"
(who is called Christ). "When He comes, He will tell us all
things."
26 Jesus said to her, "I who speak to you am He." 27 And
at this point His disciples came, and they marveled that
He talked with a woman; yet no one said, "What do You
seek?" or, "Why are You talking with her?" 28 The
woman then left her waterpot, went her way into the city,
and said to the men, 29 "Come, see a Man who told me all
things that I ever did. Could this be the Christ?" 30 Then
they went out of the city and came to Him.
John 4:39 And many of the Samaritans of that
city believed in Him because of the word of the
woman who testified, "He told me all that I ever
did." 40 So when the Samaritans had come to
Him, they urged Him to stay with them; and He
stayed there two days.
Luke 15:7 "I say to you that likewise there will be
more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents
than over ninety-nine just persons who need no
repentance.
Isaiah 30:8 Now go, write it before them on a
tablet, And note it on a scroll, That it may be for
time to come, Forever and ever: 9 That this is a
rebellious people, Lying children, Children who
will not hear the law of the LORD; 10 Who say to
the seers, "Do not see," And to the prophets, "Do
not prophesy to us right things; Speak to us
smooth things, prophesy deceits.
Philippians 1:21 For to me, to live is Christ, and to
die is gain. 22 But if I live on in the flesh, this will
mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose
I cannot tell. 23 For I am hard pressed between
the two, having a desire to depart and be with
Christ, which is far better.
Romans 14:8 For if we live, we live to the Lord;
and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore,
whether we live or die, we are the Lord's. 9 For
to this end Christ died and rose and lived again,
that He might be Lord of both the dead and the
living.
