Adopt Orphans (Girls)
An average family finds it difficult to support itself with the escalating
costs. If they had to support an orphan the burden becomes more. In
this situation, the future of the orphan is in dark and his education,
Islamic education and upbringing is in question.
The Prophet said, "I and the person who looks after an orphan and
provides for him, will be in Paradise like this," putting his index and
middle fingers together. [Sahih Bukhari, Book 73:34]
On adoption of an orphan, we arrange for their:
Food
Shelter
Religious education and
Academics

Slide 11

Adopt Orphans (Girls)
We arrange for their Nikah and resettle them. We also plan their life
partners in such a way that their services to the community continues

Small Scale Venture Scheme
In some cases small business / craftsmen incur irrecoverable losses due
to natural calamities, poor health, sickness in family etc.,
If such people are helped financially to restart their small scale
business/venture, it will go a long way in making their lives easy.
If not helped the complete family suffers and usually goes for loans on
exorbitant interests (Kanthu Vatti) and as we all know poverty might
lead to Kufr and other undesirable acts such as suicides.
A small one time grant ranging from Rs. 5000 to Rs. 50000 depending on
the nature of the business venture, is sought to help one family. Such
demands are projected only on case to case basis, as need arises.
The details of purchases made and welfare of the family are intimated
to the sponsor.

Slide 18

Treatment for the Poor Patients
Many poor patients await emergency treatment, but do not have means
Such people are referred/guided by our health department.
Our health department ensures that these poor patients get free
treatment through:
Government schemes or
In a multi speciality hospital at a nominal cost.
The government schemes do not cover the entire treatment cost. Our
tie up with reputed hospitals subsidise the treatment cost and the with
the help of kind hearted sponsors the excess amount is arranged.

Slide 19

Treatment for the Poor Patients
Our Scheme:

Any identified patient is referred to district health department where an
opinion is taken from the District Team of Doctors

to Chennai

UNWO’s Medical Team headed by Dr. Mohamed Kareem Basha
Emergency Physician Apollo Hospitals, Chennai and a team of other
specialist doctors. As per their advise a treatment plan is devised.
Shortage of funds are made good by seeking sponsorships

their families and society as well.
Their future is in dark and if unattended may go adverse.
If properly guided they could become earning members and asset to

Stipend Scheme to Save Girls from Insecure Conditions
Due to poverty many families send their daughters to work as labourers.
Generally these working conditions are not conducive as intermingling
of opposite sexes is common in such labour intensive units.
Many unpleasant incidents take place and their life gets spoiled. Some
times few of them lose their invaluable Eeman. To avoid such
happenings we encourage these girls to pursue religious education in a
niswan and compensate the financial loss to the families by paying
stipend for 3 years.

With this initiative we can bring deen in their lives and among their
families. The growing needs for niswan will be supported by this
initiative by way of giving trained Alimas.

Help People to Relieve from Kanthu Vatti
Islam has forbidden interest in all forms. Lack of Islamic knowledge,
poverty and the ease of availability of interest based loans, force poor
people to opt this whenever financial need arises.
These loans are in various forms with exorbitant rates of interest and
the ignorant folk become a victim of this. Our field experience shows
that many women have lost their invaluable iman and taken a path of
adultery. (Na’oodhu Billah)
We help such people in need to get rid of this burden and make way for
a decent living. Your zakat could be utilised to save these people and
spread the light of Hidaya in thier lives.
The identified people suffering with such distress will be intimated on
case to case basis for needed help.

You are requested to help them generously

Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the west, but
[true] righteousness is [in] one who believes in Allah , the Last Day, the angels, the
Book, and the prophets and gives wealth, in spite of love for it, to relatives, orphans,
the needy, the traveller, those who ask [for help], and for freeing slaves; [and who]
establishes prayer and gives zakah; [those who] fulfill their promise when they promise;
and [those who] are patient in poverty and hardship and during battle. Those are the
ones who have been true, and it is those who are the righteous.
