History
• First castings were produced in Koprivnice in
1860
• First Grey Iron Foundry was build in 1911
• The first aluminium product was cast in 1913
• The first steel castings were produced in 1931
• New aluminium foundry was build in 1960
• Current iron foundry started operating in
1972

• The first nodular iron castings were produced
in 1983
• In 1994 we implemented Standard ISO 9001
• In 1995 Foundry became an incorporated
entity – join stock company named „Slévárna
TATRA, a.s.“
• In 2002 the company has been renamed to
Tafonco a.s.
• In 2008 we implemented Standard ISO 14001
