• The logo for the XIX Commonwealth Games
2010 Delhi is inspired by the Chakra or the
wheel, representing the wheel of time and the
circle of life, It symbolises freedom, unity,
energy and power.
• Shera, the mascot tiger.
• The Queen’s Baton is designed by the Bangalore based Indian
company Felix Designs and incorporates the modern as well as
the traditional. It carries soil from all regions of India on its
exterior and an embedded GPS module.
• The Queen’s Baton Relay covered 190,000 km in 71 countries.
• In Australia, the Queens Baton Relay covered Sydney,
Melbourne and Brisbane
• Here is the Queen’s Baton in Sydney, with Shera, the mascot, the
Lord Mayor of Paramatta and the Indian High Commissioner.
• This is the Commonwealth flag being handed over to India by
Australia at the Melbourne Commonwealth Games in 2006.

• 3,500,000 trees have been planted in New Delhi.
