Information for the New Advisor

Advising using the Portal (ULink)
• ULink is the University’s student information
system.
• Students have access to update their
address, obtain unofficial transcripts,
grade reports, class schedules, register for
classes and check on financial aid status
advisor information, holds, transfer credit,
etc.

Advisor Code
• In order to remove the Advising Hold an advisor must
have Advisor Access.
• Fill out the Request for Advisor Code form, found on the
second page of the final test, however it can also be
found on page 3 of the Advisor Handbook.
• Send completed form to Bette Harris, Academic Success
Center.
• As soon as advisor training attendance is verified, you
will receive an email with your Advisor Code giving you
access to the Student Advising Profile.
