• The Hel Peninsula it is 36 km long sandy spit situated at the western part of Gdansk Bay at southern Baltic. The Hel Spit is long, narrow, low, relatively flat and very suitable for erosion. •Washed by the sea on both sides, the Hel Peninsula has two microclimates. On the Baltic side, where cool northern winds blow, the sand warms more slowly and the water is colder. The beaches along the Gulf of Puck are sheltered by a belt of dunes and forests and are warmer, while the shallow water is great for bathing.

MALBORK – ZAMEK KRZYŻACKI In the early 13th century the Teutonic Order launched its first crusades to the territories around the central stretch of the River Nogat in order to convert the local inhabitants to Christianity. At the beginning of the 1380s the Teutonic Knights started building a castle here which they referred to as St. Mary's Stronghold (German Marienburg). In just under 30 years they had raised a quadrangular convent building complete with chapel, chapter house, dormitory, refectory, an enclosed courtyard and a bailey situated to the north. A long, high gallery was built leading from the south-west corner to the

KASZUBY – our REGION Kashubia
is a lake district in north Poland. It is surrounded by many hills made by Scandinavian glaciers. Kashubia is one of the most picturesque and attractive regions of Poland. Its uniqueness consists of the hundreds of crystal-clear lakes, the hilly terrain covered by beautiful forests and the sandy beaches of the coast. These lands have been inhabited for centuries by the indigenous Kashubians, who have maintained fidelity to their customs and have thus managed to retain their own language and literature. JAR RADUNI
