2010 2009 Joanna Podgórska Director of Innovation and Technology Unit Polish Agency for Enterprise Development Swiss - Polish High Technology Roundtable Zurich, December 6th, 2010 Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PAED) - established by the Act of 9 November, 2000, a governmental agency subordinated to the Minister of Economy - 2007-2013: Implementing Agency for 3 Operational Programmes = 7.2 BLN EUR (8.4% of structure funds in Poland) Main areas of intervention: entrepreneurship development application of new techniques export development regional development creation of new jobs (tackling unemployment) human resources development See more on www.parp.gov.pl Structure: Supervisory Board CEO, 3 Deputy CEO 24 units over 500 employees budget 2010: 950 MEUR Innovation development - direct support for goal- oriented projects Operational Programme Innovative Economy, Measure 1.4 Support for goal-oriented projects • Still available ab. 50MEUR (max support 7,5MEUR/project), 2 calls for projects planned in 2011 • What: project focused on industrial research and experimental development (up to the moment when a prototype is created and tested) • Who can apply: micro, SME and large companies based in Poland (entrepreneurs can handle projects independently or in cooperation with scientific establishments) Innovation development - direct support for Internationalisation Operational Programme Innovative Economy, Measure 6.1 Passport to export for SMEs What: • preparation of an export plan for a company, • counselling services regarding analysis of the export potential of an entrepreneur and his/her qualification to the program, • search and selection of business partners on the chosen foreign market, • participation in a cooperation fairs and trade missions abroad, • documents necessary to launch products or services on a foreign market; Available 81 MEUR, 3 calls for project planned in 2011 PAED system of innovative business support Service recipients: entrepreneurs Service providers: 22 centers of the National Innovation Network Financing: support for the provision of pro-innovative services free of charge Scope of pro- innovative services: • technological audit, • servicing the process of technology transfer: preparation of the offer and inquiry about the technology, overview of profiles of providers or recipients of the technology, establishment of contact with the provider or recipient of the technology, assistance provided in the implementation of the technology or during negotiations and contract conclusion between the provider and recipient of the technology, monitoring of the technology implementation or contract performance, other aspects of post-implementation assistance.
