journey from 1890
to the present.

Come on in and take a seat. My
name is Greg Cossette. I have
taught biology at PFHS since 1974.
This is biology, which can be the
gateway to life because of its many
uses outside of the classroom. My
job is to facilitate your child’s
learning, in science and life skills.
My goal is
three-fold:
1. to prepare for further learning
2. to successfully master the science
portion of the ISAT
3. to become successful, happy,
contributing members to the human
community
Classroom Activity
• We read basic material from the text (and
other trusted sources), expand upon it,
and discuss it as we study each topic

• We will have labs and activities in class as
well; some activities may have to be
finished at home…….which means………
Homework !
Getting credit for work
• Written work is handed in using the
correctly labeled in-box
• Excused make up is AB in the gradebook
(no effect on the average)
Notebook
• Checked work is returned to the out-box in
the back of the room for retrieval; keep it in
a notebook for further use!
