Le colloque “Femmes, sport et cultures”, Sfax (Tunisie) 2014,
s’inscrit dans l’optique de la pérennisation d’une tradition
d’échange intégrant l’approche stratégique internationale ébauchée
par la déclaration de Brighton (1994) sur les femmes et le sport,
appelant à "promouvoir la création de possibilités pour les jeunes
filles et les femmes de participer au sport et à l’activité physique
partout dans le monde."

The conference "Women, sport and culture" Sfax (Tunisia) 2014,
it fits in the optics to perpetuate the tradition of exchange,
integrating international strategic approach outlined by the
Brighton Declaration (1994) on Women and Sport, calling for
"promoting the creation of opportunities for girls and women to
participate in sport and physical activity throughout the world."
Il offre ainsi une occasion pour insister sur le double mouvement
qui se profile, œuvrant en amont pour créer un espace privilégié
d’échange et de dialogue tout en reconnaissant en aval, la pluralité
des cultures du Sud et du Nord qui se traduit nécessairement par
des conceptions différentes du statut du corps féminin.

It thus offers an opportunity to insist on the double movement
which is outlined, working upstream to create a privileged space
for exchange and dialogue while recognizing downstream the
plurality of cultures of South and North which is translated
inevitably by different conceptions of the status of the feminine
body.
Cette rencontre apparaît à bien des égards comme susceptible de
contribuer à mesurer les acquis enregistrés et les avancées
accumulées durant les deux décennies précédentes, mais
également de nous arrêter sur les manques, les lacunes et les
résistances au changement que suscite encore l’engagement des
femmes et des jeunes filles aux activités sportives.
‫وإنّ ھﺬا اﻟﻤﻠﺘﻘﻰ ﻟﯿُﻈﮫﺮ ﺟﻠﯿﺎ ﻟﻠﻌﯿﺎن ﻣﺪى ﻗﺪرﺗﻪ وإﺳﮫﺎﻣﻪ ﻓﻲ ﺗﻘﯿﯿﻢ‬

A cet acte fondateur, il convient d’apporter une réponse globale
sans négliger les expressions locales, tant sont diverses les
situations des femmes au niveau de la pratique, comme de
l’organisation et de la gestion du sport.

‫إﺷﻜﺎﻟﯿﺎت ﻣﺤﻠﯿﺔ ﻋﻨﺪ ﻣﺸﺎرﻛﺔ اﻟﻤﺮأة ﻓﻲ ھﺬه اﻷﻧﺸﻄﺔ اﻟﺜﻘﺎﻓﯿﺔ‬

Deux types de problèmes peuvent être rencontrés :
 des problèmes communs que partagent toutes les femmes lors
de leur engagement dans le sport.
 des problèmes spécifiques qui relèvent de l’appartenance à
une culture ou à une catégorie sociale au sein d’une même
formation culturelle ou politique.

OBJECTIFS
Ce colloque a pour objectif de réunir des femmes et des hommes
représentant la diversité des milieux sportifs féminins de divers
pays du Nord (Européens) et du Sud (arabes), pour mesurer les
avancées accomplies aux plans de la participation active des
femmes dans le domaine des activités physiques sportives et
d’expression, de leur représentativité au sein des pouvoirs sportifs,
de cerner les nouvelles problématiques posées à l’accès des
femmes au monde du sport et envisager enfin des mesures
susceptibles de soutenir les décideurs clés des milieux sportifs
dans le sens d’une meilleure présence des femmes au sport.

This encounter appears in many respects as likely to contribute to
measuring prior achievements and advances accumulated during
the previous two decades, but also to stop us on deficiencies, gaps
and resistance to change that still raises the involvement of women
and girls in sports.
In this founder act, it is convenient to bring a global answer which
does not neglect the local expressions, so much, the situations of
women, at the level of the practice, as well as at the level of
organization and management of sport in the different countries,
are diverse.
Two types of problems can be met:
 Common problems shared by all women during their
involvement in sport.
 Specific problems which derive from the membership in a
culture or in a social category within the same cultural or
political forming.
OBJECTIVES
This conference has for objective to reunite women and men
representing the variety of feminine sports circles of various
countries of the North (Europeans) and South (Arab), to measure
the accomplished headways at the level of the active participation
of women in the field of sports, physical activities and of the
expression, of their representativeness within the sports powers, to
encircle the new problems put in the access of women to the world
of the sport and envisage finally measures susceptible to sustain
the key decision-makers of the sports circles in the sense of a
better presence of women in the sport.
