Happy Thanksgiving!
What is Thanksgiving?
Thanksgiving is a holiday celebrated in the
United States on the last Thursday in November.
For many Americans, it is a time to give thanks
for all that we have. We celebrate by eating a
very special meal.
What kind meal?
A typical Thanksgiving dinner has:
stuffing
mashed potatoes
corn

…and most importantly TURKEY!
No! Not turkey!
(Sorry, Mr. Gobble-Gobble…)
What is the history behind
Thanksgiving?
In 1621 a group of pilgrims came to the United
States from Europe. They were very hungry and
cold. The Indians, who had been living in the
United States for many years helped the pilgrims to
learn how grow vegetables and stay warm. They
had a special dinner to celebrate the harvest.
