There will be discussions on education and skills, leadership and communication, team building and accountability, mentoring and delegation and the importance of metrics. 1 Caroline Baron ABB Commercial Key Accounts Manager As ABB's commercial key accounts manager, Caroline helps data center end users ensure that each of their facilities are fully supported for VFD service, connecting them with ABB's HVAC channel partners in each of their data center locations. Caroline has previously worked with ABB's data center and smart grid initiatives, helping to strategically position ABB for the future growth in both segments. Caroline is an Executive Coaching Fellow at Emory University, where she is in her final year of MBA studies, with an emphasis on Organizations and 2 John Parker- Data Center Operations Management John is a Senior Data Center Management professional with over 25 years of Information Technology experience in 4 industries (Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, Banking, and Software Development). He has managed such areas as; Data Center Operations, Systems Engineering, and Facilities as well as outsourced teams internationally and in the United States. John has mentored more than a dozen team members into a mid-level to senior level management roles. He has been a member of AFCOM since 1996, founded and severed as President of the North Carolina and Southern California local chapters and resides on the board of directors for Data Center Worlds “Data Center Institute”. 3 John (Jack) Pyne - Director of Training - EPI John has worked in and with data centers in several capacities starting in 1968 as part of his college experience. Over more than 40 years, he has learned with, taught, and helped build data centers in both large and small companies across many industries. Jack holds advanced degrees in education, science and business and teaches at the college and university levels, most recently as an adjunct professor at Boston University. His consulting practice spans both business continuity and data center design and auditing. Over the last several years he has been with the world’s oldest and largest Data Center training firm, EPI, where he is a Director of Training, working with and training many of the largest international data center operators, such as Amazon, Intuit, eBay, Vanguard, the DOD, CenturyLink and others. As part of this overall activity he is a regular participant and speaker at international and local conferences in both data center design and business continuity which he feels is one of the best ways to stay current with both technology and strategies in data center design. 4 Andrew Stevens – CEO – CNet Training Andrew has played an influential role within the network infrastructure and data center industries since 1996. He is highly respected and an active member of numerous industry trade bodies including AFCOM. Andrew has dedicated his career to providing network infrastructure and data center professionals with easy access to high quality learning and education programs, programs that are designed and delivered by seasoned experts in their field and that provide the right level of education and award both industry recognized credentials and qualifications. He is truly passionate about bringing educational and knowledge standards to the industry and takes great pleasure in bringing data center professionals together with expert trainers to strengthen the industry with professionally certified individuals. Andrew also created the global data center education framework and has been instrumental in the development of the only truly mapped qualifications and credentials for the data center industry.
