Every person at Model Farms High School has
the right to learn and teach in a happy safe

They also, have the right to experience
positive and respectful relationships between
all members of the school community.
Bullying behaviour, therefore, is not
acceptable at Model Farms High School.

Peer Support Program for all year 7 students
led by Year 11 students
Workshops and counselling for those affected

Training of staff in methods to deal with
these issues if they arise







Classroom level:
◦ poor behaviour, lack of classwork or homework
◦ lunch time detentions, contact with parents
Faculty level:
◦ if behaviour continues, the student will be referred to Head
Teacher
◦ Faculty afterschool detention or formal afterschool
detention , interview with parents, removal from class for
short period
Deputy level:
o if behaviour continues: Deputy monitoring, potential
suspension


Set up a dedicated area for homework and
study
Encourage use of diary and a year planner
for assignments
Go through diary with student each night to
work out what must be done tonight – this
teaches them how to prioritise
Encourage students to study for exams –
this is a skill students need to learn
