Schools typically identify potential students who score well on standardized tests Teachers may also recommend students with strong work ethic, self-motivation, and demonstrating high levels of achievement* in previous mathematics classes

• • • College and Career Readiness Standards – Require ALL students to have access to a focused, coherent, and rigorous mathematics education Differences among course paths will vary depending on content standards to be addressed Learning with understanding is still the priority – there will be concepts and processes taught during the PRIMES courses that will not be expected on the end of grade assessment
