Lublin Wholesale Market, Joint Stock Company in Elizówka The idea of creating wholesale markets The creation of farm and food wholesale markets in Poland was initiated in July 1996 by ˝The programme for organising wholesale markets and commodity exchanges up to 2000˝ approved by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Management – 17 July 1996. The capital structure of wholesale markets in Poland The capital structure of the Lublin Wholesale Market Joint Stock Company The establishment and registration of the Lublin Wholesale Market JSC The Lublin Wholesale Market, Joint Stock Company in Elizówka (at the moment of the company’s establishment: Lubelska Giełda RolnoOgrodnicza Spółka Akcyjna – the Lublin Agricultural and Horticultural Market, Joint Stock Company) was created within the Governmental “Programme of building the network of wholesale markets and agricultural exchanges” – as a supraregional wholesale market. The establishment and registration of the Lublin Wholesale Market JSC The company was established on 18 July 1995. The founders of the Company were 19 entities. The Company’s share capital amounted to PLN 1,131,500 and was divided into 11,315 shares with a nominal value of PLN 100 each. As an economic entity, the Company was registered on 25 September 1995 in the 11th Economic Department of the Local Court in Lublin and started its activity on 1 October 1995. Producers, their associations and the Ministry of Agriculture were the main initiators of the Company’s establishment. Contribution in kind The Senate of the Agricultural University, in Lublin by virtue of the Resolutions of 24 March 1995 and 15 December 1995, granted its consent to the provision of land, of which the Agricultural University would be a perpetual user, with a total area of 56.37 ha, located in the village of Kolonia Elizówka as a contribution in kind to the joint stockcompany the Lublin Agricultural and Horticultural Market based in Lublin, receiving shares in form of registered shares. Contribution in kind By way of the notarial deed of 9 January 1998, the Agricultural University in Lublin subscribed to additional shares, providing contribution in kind in the form of perpetual usufruct of subsequent lots with the total area of 53 ares.
