Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) is the largest independent shipping agency
network in the world and one of the most recognized and respected agency
names in shipping. With more than 255 offices in 50 countries and 2,800
employees, the ISS worldwide agency network services a diversified customer
base across all sectors of shipping.
Today, ISS in the Middle East, South Asia & Africa is the leading provider of
agency services as Husbanding and Cargo Agents, Liner Agents, Freight
Forwarders, Lloyd’s Agents and Protection & Indemnity Club correspondents. ISS
has an integrated network of offices spanning the Middle East region, in the UAE,
Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Qatar and Saudi Arabia
ISS, today is a wholly owned subsidiary of Istithmar, a Dubai based international
investment management group focusing on private equity finance, real estate and

Vessel/Marine Craft interest:
Full husbanding services including but not limited to Port In/Out Clearances, Statutory
licenses in Oman, Crew movements, Crew medical attention, provision/stores supplies,
bunker coordination.
Support crafts – own one launch stationed in Muscat, and group have ability to support
with further vessels from Regional assets.
Bulk Cargo and Vessel Agency:
Full bulk cargo agency including logistics support. ISS Oman currently handle over 1
million tonnes per annum of grain, clinker, cement, bitumen and copper ores/concentrate
via Omani ports.
General Cargo Interest:
Port Tally/Supervision, Clearing and forwarding, full logistic support, sourcing containers,
porta cabins, selected items storage in Muscat, packing and removals, P&I club
representation, survey.
Disbursement accounting:
Single point of remittance, final DA within 25 days of vessels departure, full transparency
with all supporting documents, monthly statements.

underwriters. Carrying out surveys for
determining arrived condition of all types
of cargoes and also nature/ extent of
damage, if any.
Personnel
ISS Oman has a team of resourceful personnel experienced in
conducting business in a professional and structured manner.
Moreover the team enjoys a good rapport and excellent working
relationship with relevant Government Bodies, Customers,
Agents, Principals which goes a long way in ensuring required
standards in Customer Satisfaction.
Over the past two decades ISS Oman have consciously
employed and trained local Omani staff in operations and
customs matters, and now with mandatory local presence in all
customs and operation related matters, ISS are better placed
with trained Omani staff on their payroll.
