Grade Visits

Students will visit campus with their elementary schools.

They will experience … skits performed by out Drama II students A Performing Arts performance a school tour by a HJHS Student Ambassador Classrooms visits 7 th grade lunch time All students will be given a lunch which includes lunch, milk and juice. If students want to buy snacks, water bottles, or other drink please bring money to purchase in cafeteria or Spirit Store.

A maximum of 2 credits per year can be earned through successful completion of the offered electives.

2015-2016 SCHOOL If a student is interested in A hour you must attach the A hour contract signed by both student and parent/guardian!

Students who register for more than the number of credit bearing courses offered during the regular school day (7 at the junior high) will be charged a district-fee of $160.00 per semester course.

Hour begins at 7am and transportation is NOT provided!

RIDE PROGRAM

Write down class work and homework each hour in PRIDE Planner.

Each student will be expected to be:

A student who is unsuccessful is required to attend 9 th hour .

Some important topics to know…..

Backpacks: Students should have a backpack to carry their binder, folders, notebooks, and personal items.

Lunch: Students will have a 30 minute lunch period. They can bring or buy lunch. Online accounts available on the GPS website. Physical Ed.: Student will need to “dress out” and where a PE uniform of a grey tee-shirt, and navy blue basketball short. Available for purchase at Hurricane Days.

Dress Code:

Student will be expected to follow the Gilbert Public Schools District Dress Code Policy. Hats off inside buildings, no spaghetti straps, appropriate length of shorts.

Infinite Campus Online Grades:

Students and parents have access to view grades, messages, absences, assessments, and student profile information.

Chromebooks:

Students will receive a Chromebook. Mrs. Taylor will give information in the gym presentation.

Optional, Non-Credit Classes For incoming 7th graders

Math 7th Prep Class 7th grade students who will be taking Math 7 in August. This class is designed to help students transition from Elementary Math to Junior High Math Honors Math 7th Prep 7th grade students who will be taking Honors Math 7 in August.
