• Levies received as at 31/3/01 = R44.6 millions • Levies relating to grants = R27.9 millions • Actual grants A and B paid as at 31/03/2001 = R11. 3 millions • Payment as % of Grant Levies =40.7%

The Year 2000 - 01

• Levies received in 2002 = R24.7 million • Levies relating to Grants = R15.5 million • Payments for grants A,B,C and D = R18.3 millions • Discretionary payments = R3.3 millions • Cumulative payments as % of cumulative Levy grants = 76.17%

Use of unclaimed levies

• Allocation towards Standards Generation process = R3 million • Proposed for Learnership incentives = R5 million • Marketing and Communications strategy = R1 million • Funding of ISETT Mobile = R1 million

Success factors

• Tireless dedication by Grant and levy payments staff • The magnificent roles played by SDF’s in providing: – WSP’s – Reports and – Banking details

The Year 2001 – 02

• Levy cash received as of today = R92.53 million • Levies relating to grants = R80.96

• Grant A paid =R8.2 million • Grant B payable by April 2002 ( based on grant A paid) = R27.21 million

Key success factors

• The introduction of ISDF’s • More awareness from companies of the importance of NSDS • Marketing campaign by DoL and ISETT • Use of electronic funds transfer and cooperation from SDF’s and ISDF in providing banking details
