 Four-year Replacement Educational Programs &
Operations Levy (Current levy expires end of 2014)
 Provides for nearly 24% of the district’s 2013-14
operating funds
 February 11, 2014 Election
What’s the difference between a
Bond and Levy?
 Definitions: Bonds are for Building and Levies are for Learning
 Bonds: State does not provide full funding to provide facilities for
learning
 Levy: State does not fully find education
 Levies provide the funding necessary for maintenance and operations of programs
that directly effect teaching and learning
 Levies need to be renewed at the end of their term which can run 1-4 years
