Student expectations play an important role to a successful
education. It is important that all class members have an
understanding of what is expected in regards to classroom behavior
as well as classroom procedures. These standards become essential
in your academic and personal growth. Being the BEST student you
can be means taking RESPONSIBILITY for your learning.

CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS
• Be respectful of yourself and each other.
• Be prepared to learn:
• Be where you belong
• Be on time
• Do your best
• Complete your work
• Treat school property and each other’s property
with respect.
RESOLUTIONS/CONSEQUENCES
REAL TIME DISCIPLINE NOTICE
After 3 consecutive warnings:
• 1 ticket will be issued.
After receiving 2 tickets
• Parent Contact
After receiving 3 tickets
• Lunch Detention with the principal
After receiving 5 tickets
• After school detention

PROCEDURES
ENTERING THE CLASSROOM
• Enter the classroom quietly and calmly.
• Take your assigned seat and be prepared with necessary materials.
• DO NOT enter the classroom if an adult is not in the room.
• Please wait quietly in a line outside the door.
QUIETING THE CLASS
• The teacher will signal the class to quiet down by raising a
hand and counting down 5,4,3,2,1.
• The goal of the class will be to give the teacher full
attention before the teacher reaches 1.
• Freeze
• Eyes on teacher
• Be ready for instructions
BEGINNING THE CLASS PERIOD
• A daily “Do Now” assignment will be posted on the SMARTBOARD.
• Please begin working on the assignment immediately once you
have taken your assigned seat.
ABSENCES
• If you are absent, please check the “While You Were Out”
hanging folders.
• Missing work will be located in the file for the day(s) you
were absent.
• It is your responsibility to ask for help related to the missed
work that you do not understand. Please be sure to see the
teacher and set up a time meet and have the work
explained to you.
STUDENT AGENDA
• You must bring your agenda notebook to class everyday.
• As soon as an assignment has been assigned, you will write it in
the appropriate subject in your agenda, even if the assignment has
been completed.
• Use the calendar page for each month to record upcoming tests,
quizzes, and/or projects. This will help you to manage your time
and prioritize your w
GETTING OUT OF YOUR SEAT
• Please refrain from getting out of your seat during
direct instruction.
• In the event you need to get out of your seat, after
instruction, you may do so providing you are
considerate of your teacher and classmates.
RESTROOM
• Please refrain from using the restroom during classroom instruction.
• In the event of an emergency, please use
bathroom.

• The sign-out sheet will determine if you can leave the classroom.

• Please place completed assignments in the appropriate class/subject
file slot.
DISMISSAL
• Before you leave the classroom, be sure:
• Your area is free of trash
• All classroom materials are put in their place
• Your chair is under your desk
• There are times when the bell will ring, but the teacher may need to
detain the class. Please wait for the teacher to dismiss you so you do
not miss any last minute instructions.
