The Key To Success
Important Classroom Rules to Follow

It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3…. All you
have to do is Remember the
three “P’s”
 Be Prepared in your
seat with book,
homework, and
supplies
 Be a Positive Member
that is respectful and
has an “I can” attitude
 Be ready to Participate
in class discussions,
groups, and readings
Behaviors to Demonstrate
When You’re Here...
 Be in your seat when the
bell rings with materials
out and ready to go.

When instructed, start
“classwork” or group work
right away and stay on
task—do not have off the
topic conversations with
other students unless
instructed otherwise
Raise your hand when you
want to respond or ask
questions
Give respect to those who
are speaking to the class—
DO NOT talk when others
are talking (especially
your teachers)
Get permission to get out
of your seat (including to
sharpen pencils & get
Kleenex)
Do not get up and leave
the room until you are
dismissed by your
teachers
Behavior Policies and
Procedures
• 1.
Verbal Reprimand (1 warning)
• 2. Lunch Detention (more than 2 lunch
detentions in the same week will result
in a referral)
• 3. After School Detention (for more
severe offences
• 5. Referral/Suspension (in or out of
school depending on severity/frequency
of behavior)
Homework and Class Info.
• All Homework and Projects are to be turned in on time
or on Due Date (5 point deduction for every day late)
• If absent you have an extra day for every day you are
absent to turn in work.
• Check Website for missing work if absent (classroom
folder for hard copies)
• Bring IRT book, assignment notebook, folder, spiral,
and other assigned material each day to class
• If you have questions on work, check with a classmate
first.
• For extra help, set up a time either before school,
during lunch, or after school with one of your teachers.
• Check your grades online at least once a week to make
sure you are caught up on work and that your grade is
accurate.
Bathroom/Locker Passes
 You will be given three bathroom/locker
passes to use each quarter. You must fill
them out properly.
 Once you have used them you are not
allowed more unless given for a raffle prize.
 You may start using the next quarters passes
if you choose.
 Any unused passes can be turned in at the
end of the quarter for extra credit (5 pts. Per
pass)
Materials for Class
 1 two pocket folder
 1 loose leaf notebook paper package or
spiral notebook (always have paper with
you each day!)
 2 Blue or Black inc pens (for written
work)
 1 colored marking pen (for checking,
correcting and grading)
 1 highlighter (collected)
 1 Expo marker (collected)
