FACTS AND FIGURES
STAHCOM
St. Albans and Harpenden
Commissioning Limited
We aim to retain at least 80% of all new
cardiology outpatient referrals within the CATS
 This is anticipated to be at least 1200 per year
(based on historical WHHT and SACH echo clinic
data)
 Waiting times will be cut considerably
 The CATS follow up rates will be extremely low
(est 10%, based on similar services elsewhere)
 Yearly savings are estimated to be 18% compared
to current outpatient costs, for new patients
alone

SO WHY SHOULD I REFER TO THE CATS ?
