Bushlight is a program funded jointly by the
Commonwealth of Australia and the states
covering the northern part of the country and is
designed to deliver reliable renewable energy
based power supplies to indigenous communities
across the top end of Australia.
The solar power system installed at Gubbangurru,
Mornington Island in 2005 is part of the Bushlight
program.
