Full time, from September 1st 2014
This is a 12-month contract in the first instance, and may be extended by mutual consent.
Parklands High School is a popular and high-achieving school. Levels of achievement have increased markedly over the past
three years, along with many other key aspects of the school’s provision. The school has invested heavily in learning
resources and teacher development, and staff are encouraged to be innovative and reflective in their practice.
The successful candidate will work within a successful department, taught to all students across the school. The department
will comprise a team of five full time teachers. Both GCSE PE and BTEC Dance are popular option subjects at Key Stage 4,
and the department has a strong level of participation in extra-curricular activities. The school has a range of outdoor spaces,
a Sports Hall and a gymnasium.
