This is a 12-month contract in the first instance, and may be extended by mutual consent.
Parklands High School is a popular and high-achieving school. Levels of achievement have increased markedly
over the past three years, along with many other key aspects of the school’s provision. The school has invested
heavily in learning resources and teacher development, and staff are encouraged to be innovative and reflective in
their practice.
The successful candidate will join a lively and well-experienced department. The department produce consistently
excellent results, and are popular and successful with students. The quality of teaching is extremely high across the
English department, and colleagues will be supported and challenged to achieve consistently innovative and
successful teaching.
The position would suit a flexible, committed individual: either a newly qualified teacher or a more experienced
colleague.
