The menu bar allows you to access all functionalities of RefWorks. Simply move your mouse pointer over the entries and further options will drop down.

Author Format
• Enter last name, followed by a comma, first name (or first initial followed by a period), and middle initial followed by a period. • Each author name must be separated by a semi-colon. • Example: Smith,J. R.

Last Imported Folder
The result imported will be placed in the last imported folder. If you repeat importing records, this folder will only contain the results of the very last import. All previously imported records are stored in the database, but not associated with a folder.

RefGrab-It
• Works with your browser to capture bibliographic information from web pages.
• If an ISBN number, PubMed ID or DOI exist on the web page, RefGrab-It will automatically search for supplemental information in the web 43

Checking duplicated references

RefWorks can help to check for duplicated records View > Duplicates > Exact (or Close) Duplicates All deleted records are stored in a folder “Deleted References” You can restore the deleted records if required 59

• Install Write-N-Cite III, which is available from Refworks web-site • You will need to have MS Word installed • You may use a different word processor, but you will need to cite manually.
• The only requirement is that your word processor supports Text, ODT or RTF formats.
