Evaluating Perspectives
• Whose thoughts and ideas did we
want?
• Focus Groups – across North Wales
• Interviews – clinicians and ‘interested
parties’
• What did we find out?
The concept of Empowerment is that
those who have little or no influence
are able to:-
acquire the ability to have informed
opinions;
take initiatives;
make independent choices and
influence change.
How do we hope our approach will
make services better?
• Meaningful engagement leading to visible
action
• Recognition by all of what can and cannot
change
• Blurring of boundaries
• Positive changes
