Expansion Into Urgent Care
Solving a problem - emergency rooms are overcrowded, services are
expensive and a significant percentage of the patients do not need the
intensity of emergency care
Concentra began this initiative in the fall of 2007
The peak seasonality of urgent care (October through March) complements
the weak seasonal period for occupational medicine
Urgent care services represent a key component of Concentra’s strategy – a
comprehensive array of prevention, injury and illness treatment services to
enhance workforce productivity and reduce costs
