 Stressed partnerships between federal, state, and local
governments, Veteran service organizations, and
community and faith-based groups.
 Focuses on initiatives that reflect the departmental
emphasis on homelessness prevention and services to
low-income Veteran families who are at-risk of
homelessness.

and related case management services;
 Development of VA Homeless Prevention Programs
to assist community non-profit organizations
working with Veterans and their families to maintain
them in their current housing;

correctional systems and new efforts to work with

 Enhanced services for special needs homeless
populations: women Veterans, OEF/OIF Veterans,

chronically homeless Veterans, and Veterans in the
earlier stages of recovery from serious mental illness
and substance use disorders.
