Torah -Deuteronomy 4:6-10
5 See,
I have taught you decrees and laws as the LORD my God commanded me, so that you may follow them in
the land you are entering to take possession of it.
6 Observe
them carefully, for this will show your wisdom and understanding to the nations, who will hear
about all these decrees and say, “Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.” 7 What other
nation is so great as to have their god near them the way the LORD our God is near us whenever we pray to
him? 8 And what other nation is so great as to have such righteous decrees and laws as this body of laws I am
setting before you today?
9 Only
be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let
them fade from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.
10 Remember the day you stood before the LORD your God at Horeb, when he said to me, “Assemble the people
before me to hear my words so that they may learn to revere (honor) me as long as they live in the land and
may teach them to their children.”
Observe them carefully

Torah - Deuteronomy 7:7-9
7 The LORD
did not set his affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous than
other peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples.
8 But
it was because the LORD loved you and kept the oath he swore to your ancestors that he
brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the land of slavery, from the power
of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
9 Know
therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love
to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.

Put the 10 Words into your heart
Israel failed to remember or shema their God.
Haftarah – Comfort My People
• Isaiah 40:1-5
Comfort, comfort my people,
says your God.
2 Speak tenderly to Jerusalem,
and proclaim to her
that her hard service has been completed,
that her sin has been paid for,
that she has received from the LORD’s hand
double for all her sins.
3 A voice of one calling:
“In the wilderness prepare
the way for the LORD;
make straight in the desert
a highway for our God.
4 Every valley shall be raised up,
every mountain and hill made low;
the rough ground shall become level,
the rugged places a plain.
5 And the glory of the LORD will be revealed,
and all people will see it together.
For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.”
But God had a plan!
To show His Love and
the Joy of Salvation,
with Peace towards Israel.
Patience for His people
to return to Him and turn away from their sins.
Kindness to bring comfort by a witness of
His Goodness, Faithfulness and Gentleness
towards them. And to bring them power for their soul
(heart and mind) to live in His Holy Presence and show
Self-Control to follow Him and obey Him.
The voice in the wilderness
was John the Baptist,
a witness of the Good News
to remember their God and
His promises. And for them
To Hear, Repent and Obey.
Put the fruit of the Spirit in your heart

Brit Chadashah
• Acts 4:7-12
7 They had Peter and John brought before them and began to
question them:
“By what power or what name did you do this?”
8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them: “Rulers and
elders of the people!
9 If we are being called to account today for an act of kindness
shown to a man who was lame and are being asked how he was
healed,
10 then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name
of Jesus Christ of Nazareth (Yeshua), whom you crucified but
whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you
healed.
11 Jesus is
“‘the stone you builders rejected,
which has become the cornerstone.’
12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name
under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”
Yeshua (Jesus) has the to power to forgive sins!
When we turn to Yeshua and follow HIM we also can know that God loves us,
has the power to save us and understands us.
Put Yeshua/Jesus into your heart
10
What are you thankful to Yahweh/Yeshua for?
What are you thankful to your family for?
