Introduction
SIT’SA was created in Senegal, Dakar following a signed
declaration on July 22, 2003 by most representative of
information technology and services companies in
Senegal.
We decided to work cooperatively to create a new
association to promote the ICT Industry nationally and
internationally.
SIT’SA Vision
The Senegalese Information Technology Association (SIT’SA),
founded in 2003 as the Senegalese Computing Services
Industry Association, is the premier global association
representing the information industry in Senegal.
SITSA provides leading advocacy, research, information,
consulting, technical support and events to our member
associations and to governments to ensure sound decisions
promoting, explaining and expanding an inclusive digital
economy for the benefit of all.
Our objectives
1. To recommend policies for the development of IT to facilitate
the international trade and the investment in the IT products
and services;
2. To represent the interlocutor of Government as regards the IT
industry;
3.To promote the reinforcement of the national capacities by the
division of knowledge, the experience, and critical information;
4. to provide to its members a vast network of the contacts in
almost each geographical area of the world;
5. To ensure representation, promotion and defense of the interests
collective professional, moral, economic, legislative and social
of the people morals and physiques working, in their respective
specialities, their professions or their activities in the field of IT.
Our objectives
6. To create a forum for the actors of the sector to underline their
convergences and to discuss their divergences.
7. To make common lobbying for the interest of IT
8. To initiate and manage joint-ventures to promote IT Industry
and sector
9. To give advice and to take part in national projects
10. To create a synergy for a d?échelle economy
11. To work for the ethical determination d?une of professional and
moral behavior for its respect by all the members.
12. To lead a study of the means necessary to improve services.
