OSU offers a web based VPN client
https://sds.oregonstate.edu
There are some glitches with the interface, the
certificate is expired…this throws up red flags
Trust the certificate (click yes to several pop-ups)
and you can establish a connection
Web VPN can be used in conjunction with
OSU_PUB to provide secure connections
Once you are connected to OSU_PUB then
go to https://sds.oregonstate.edu
This will not work unless you are using
OSU_PUB to obtain an IP address
Users have complained of dropped sessions
Wireless connections can be inconsistent and cause
sessions to drop
Sessions left idle for long periods of time will drop
ISP’s with physical cable problems can cause session
drops
There is no set time for your connection to
terminate, but if it is idle and others trying to
authenticate, it will bump you off
