Signing up to moodle
Basic English

First, go to the moodle site





Start up your computer and log in.
Start Internet Explorer or Netscape.
Type in the URL (address) of the moodle page
http://moodle.jklmelton.net/
If you were in my class last semester, please
use the same login name and password. You
can then skip the next step. :-)
If you forgot, please come to the teacher’s
computer. I will help you there.
Login to moodle

Two Steps:

Type a username (anything you want) and a
password (please remember this!).
• Please use romaji.
• Always use hankakuji, NOT zenkakuji




Click on the “Login” button.
On the next screen, fill in this information (Given
name [first name], Surname [last name], email
address, City/town, and a description [just a couple
of words for now--’hello’ or ‘hi’]).
Click on the “Update Profile” button at the bottom.
Wait for the next instructions.
Type a Username and a
Password. Click “Login”
Remember to use romaji.
Always use hankakuji, NOT zenkakuji.
Fill in information in romaji
(use hankakuji, not zenkakuji)
Your given or first name
Your surname or last name
Your university email address
Your hometown
One or two words like,
‘hello’ or ‘hi’
Click on the “Update profile” button at
the bottom of the page to finish.
If you missed information, add it in and
click on “Update profile” again.
These red instructions
show that some
information is missing.
After you update, wait for the
next instructions.
It will take a few minutes to get everyone
registered.

 Please be patient. I cannot help everyone
at the same time. I will work with one
student at a time.

