Grade Separation Construction
Project Status Update
February 2009
The way it was.
The plan.
The construction of the Upper Middle Road (UMR) Grade Separation, located at the
Canadian National Railway crossing west of Appleby Line, is proceeding on schedule. The
initial phase which included the road and rail detour construction opened October 6, 2008.
The contractor is now working on the rail bridge foundations and piers as well as beginning
the excavation for Upper Middle Road to pass under the bridge.

will support the

the bridge is
