Athletes – Reminder
Bag Rooms
Bag rooms are located in both Boys and Girls Locker rooms. Have bags in room
before 7:33am
. Rooms will only be open from dismissal time until 10 min. after dismissal time.
Trainer Passes
Athletic Office will not issue passes to see the trainers. Trainers will issue a pass to those students who need it.

YOU MUST OBTAIN A GREEN PASS FROM A TEACHER PRIOR TO YOUR STUDY HALL
All students have the opportunity to remediate and retake major assessments should you receive a score of 70% or less.
Students who choose to retake assessments will be required to:
Attend three (3) Period 12 Remediation sessions
with their teacher to relearn and/or practice concepts not mastered.
Retest within the two weeks of the original assessment
(after the completion of three Period 12 sessions) Students can earn a maximum score of 70% overall for the original assessment
Senior Privilege
Senior students with an window overall course average of 93% or above during the FINAL EXAM testing may be exempt from taking the final exam for that course.
All seniors are still required to take midterm exams
Period 12 Remediation
Your school day begins at 7:35a and ends at 3:00p daily
Students who are not in need of, or are not assigned a Period 12 on any given day have the
privilege
to leave at end of Period 11 (2:19pm).
Students who have a failing grade (less than 70%) in any class are required to attend at least two Period 12 remediation sessions per week
with the classroom teacher until such time that s/he have mastered the specific area of difficulty, or until his/her class average is above 70%.
Failure to attend an assigned Period 12 will also be considered a class cut and the student will receive administrative disciplinary consequences.
Absent From School?

If an excuse is not received = unexcused (illegal) = disciplinary consequences and/or zeros for work missed (+ possible truancy citation = $300 fine)
10+ days absence in a school year = medical/doctor’s note required
If doctor note is not received= unexcused + zeros + legal action may be taken

Educational Trip/ Vacations

Clean up after yourselves.
No food or drink is to leave the cafeteria
Must have pass from a teacher if arriving late or leaving early.
Students wandering halls during lunch will be referred to the office for disciplinary action.
Use the restrooms next to the café near the gym if needed.

Financial Obligations
Students must pay for lost or misused equipment, books, laptops, iPads, uniforms, instruments, etc. following each quarter or semester.
Privileges such as suspended clubs, dances/prom, sports, parking tags, walking in graduation and/or any other extra curricular activities will be revoked or if debts are not paid in a timely manner. AKA “Social Probation”

: School officials are authorized to search a student’s motor vehicle parked on school property when there is reasonable suspicion that the student is violating the law.

Ten or more lates to school (excused or unexcused) = two- week permit suspension plus an additional week for every day a student is late during the period of suspension (see your Vehicle

What is Bullying?
Bullying means an intentional electronic, written, verbal, or physical act or series of acts directed at another student or students, which occurs in the school setting and/or outside a
school setting, that is severe, persistent, or pervasive. Bullying, as defined in this policy, also
includes cyber-bullying.
Acts that are considered bullying would have the effect of doing any of the following: 1. Substantial interference with a student’s education.
2. Creation of a threatening environment.
3. Substantial disruption of the orderly operation of the school. .
Students may report bullying complaints to school principals, teachers, counselors, nurses, and/or any instructional and non instructional staff.
What is SAP?
SAP
Designed to assist school personnel in identifying issues that pose a barrier to learning success at school. SAP is not a treatment nor disciplinary program; rather it is a systematic process to mobilize community and school resources to get students help.
