Pictures may stay online forever • Perception of anonymity More likely to say things online • Change profile of target/bully Physical intimidation changed • Bullying may be unintentional Bystander effect • Evidence Proof of cyberbullying is easier to collect • Mobile phones are personal & private • Kids love text messaging • Phones do everything a PC can do • It is much easier to send a message that wouldn’t be said face to face 2/3 of teen phone use is text messaging.
