Less than a fifth of respondents (18%) were aware that the Council had given
up its own website to produce a shared website with the County Council and
some of Dorset’s other District Councils (www.dorsetforyou.com). The Council
may wish to publicise the change to increase residents awareness and use.
The most popular place to use the internet in the last 3 months was from home
(70%) and from a place of work or study (31%). Only a fifth (21%) said that they
have not used the internet within the last 3 months.
• 66% of respondents aged 75+ years have not accessed the internet in the
last three months whilst only 3% of 18-44 year old have not.
