What is the IAB?
 The Industry Advisory Board (IAB) is a group
of volunteer leaders dedicated to:
 Serving as a “voice of industry” to IIE’s leadership




and the academic community
Enhancing IIE’s image, relevance and value
proposition to industrial engineers working in
industry
Increasing the awareness and knowledge of the
industrial engineering profession and the
tremendous value it provides society
Increasing the engagement of IIE’s industry
membership (~7k)
Supporting the professional development and
career growth of industry members

Developed and deployed an infrastructure for experienced
industry leaders to share their learning's, career guidance and
advice to IIE members in hopes of preparing them to navigate
their careers
 Sessions are intended to provide guidance to assist in determining:

 Explore possibilities and how to help move toward their goals..
 Format:
 Live panel discussion held during the Annual Conference
 (2) sessions offered
 Quarterly webinars of similar sessions
 (5) sessions conducted
 Over (300) attendees
 A very successful and valuable initiative
