Purpose and Capabilities of AutoRead
AutoRead is a software solution that takes data from Sensus automated meter reading systems (TouchRead, RadioRead, and VehicleRead) and creates a file for the utility billing software to process.

AutoRead simplifies route organization, meter-reading tasks, and meter-reading entry into a billing software application.

Navigate AutoRead Menus
All information in AutoRead can be retrieved using any of the following navigation methods: • Menu Bar: A three-menu dropdown system to access route information • Tool Bar: Four radio buttons to access route information 9 • Tree View: A branch-out technique comparable to Windows Explorer

• Consists of three top-level menu commands: File , View , and Help .

• Consists of four buttons that can be used to navigate among screens
Tip: Hover the mouse over a button to display one of the following: Polling Devices, Process Routes, Reports, and Serial Communications .

Used to navigate among screens and as a reference to see which screen is currently selected and displayed Also allows items to be grouped together in sets

• Displays more information about the current screen or used to link to the Help menu.
Note: Pressing the F1 key on your keyboard is another way to display the help menu.

• Used to close the current window in the program

• Allow the user to view different areas of the screen that are not visible due to screen-size limitations.
Tip: Drag the bar along the track to move the body of the document or click the top or bottom arrow on either end to make a precise adjustment.

• • Functions are tied to certain statuses to help with the possibility of user error.
The primary statuses of AutoRead are: – No Meters – Ready to Load (Data: Not Loaded) – Device Loaded (Data: Loaded) – Backup Required (Data: Available) or Complete (Data: Available)
Note: Depends on initial AutoRead setup.
