Presence of Progressive & stable leadership IT Policy in place NASSCOM AT Kearney Report reconfirms the Investment Destination as Madhya Pradesh. Indore has been declared as challenger, Bhopal and Gwalior as Followers.
Presence of STPI in Indore. Gwalior and Bhopal in Pipeline 11 IT SEZs – “Formal approval” granted by BOA. [ 4 in Government and 7 in private sector] Power to Industry through dedicated feeder; no power cuts for the industry 6 basic service provider – BSNL, Reliance, Bharti, Vodaphone, Idea and Tata Large network of Optical Fiber across the State (approx. 24000KM) 2 International Airports coming up in MP Road Infrastructure - 40,000 kms. built in last 5 years. All Divisional Headquarters will be connected to State Headquarters by 4 lane roads in next 3 years. Presence of Institutions like IIITM, IIM, IIITDM, IIFM, Judicial Academy, NLUI, School of Good governance etc The state has abundant resource of engineering graduates Peaceful law and order situation MP is home for everyone and nobody is considered outsider

Implementation of file monitoring system in Mantralaya has resulted in saving more than 30,000 man hours per year
Performance Management System in the Chief Minister's office has resulted in higher planned fund utilization
Computerization has resulted in increased efficiency and reduced costs In Jan shikayat nivaran department, implementation of samadhan on line has resulted in reduction of pendency from 59896 in 2005 to 632 in 2008 Video conferencing results in saving to the tune of Rs. 30 crores per annum

National e Governance Plan

The MP SWAN to be fully operational by end of October 2009.
Total 9232 CSC to be functional. Presently 5000+ CSC rolled out. The proposed project shall be fully operational by December 2009.
Data Centre is being established in Bhopal. DPR approved, building under construction.
Capacity Building Roadmap developed and being implemented.

Initiative to make citizens from inline to online Joint venture company between GoMP and TCS One Stop Window and integrated with other government departments Delivery through more than 1200 Urban kiosks and about 2000 CSCs over 63 services belonging to over 22 govt. departments Forms (250+) of 37 departments made available Key services include online application submission, fee payment and online counseling of Vyapam exams/ RGTU, Universities like Makhanlal, Jiwaji, Devi Ahilya etc.
Till date 16.28 lakh transactions amounting to Rs. 131.74 crores No. of visitors on the portal 87.81 crores Integration of CSCs to with MP Online. MP Online to open kiosks only in urban areas.

”
First step towards the aim of creating a “Single Contact Number" (Help line no./ Toll free no. 155343)
The Contact Centre handles incoming and/or outgoing telephone calls, from/to the citizen for services provided on behalf of Government of Madhya Pradesh.
The “Citizen Facilitation Centre”, working on the principles of Public Private Partnership (PPP), started on 23rd August ‘08 with 25 active seats.
Departments that are providing Citizen Services, and presently there are twelve department with 30 seat.
Attending Minimum 800 to 1000 calls per day
More than 2.00 lakh calls received up till now

VTMS is a state of the art information system for locating; monitoring and managing the public utility vehicles of Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) A web based software application integrated with GPS .
Includes garbage disposal vehicles, water tankers, fire tender vehicles and any other public utility vehicle (e.g. earthmovers, road rollers, JCBs, etc).

Transport Department
Transport Department of M.P. is pioneer in using Information Technology for providing citizen centric services.
Computerisation in M.P. Transport started 7 years ago with issuance of smart card based Driving License and Registration Certificate Gradually all the processes of Transport offices have been computerised and data has been made available through internet and SMS for access by citizens.
M.P. is the first state to provide value added services like "Online Tax Payment" and " Online Dealer Point Registration "

License Appointment and Application System Now an applicant can take appointment for the test and processing of application to get license from RTO. Applicant will fill the application form online and make payment for the same and select the date and time of appointment and he / she has to go to RTO office on the selected date and time. Applicant will make payment using the payment gateway of MPOnline Kiosk or by using net banking option of SBI.
Data is then transferred to corresponding RTO to obtain the required services Dealer Point Registration System Dealer can get register vehicle from its own desk by using this system. Registration number will be allocated to vehicle at the time of registration after making a payment using SBI net banking account. Provisional Certificate of Registration will be handed over to owner of vehicle at the very same time Data is then transferred to corresponding RTO to obtain the required services Smart Card based Certificate of Registration will be dispatched to him via Registered post.
