Updating the LCAP

COJUSD LCAP Process
Meetings to inform stakeholders of LCFF. Stakeholders sign up for State
Priority Committees
Website and email communication with staff and community throughout
the process
LCAP Survey posted on the District website to obtain input from all
stakeholders. Surveys administered at School Site Council meetings, parent
meetings and DAC/DELAC meetings
State Priority Committees met to obtain input from stakeholders
District administrative team prioritized input and LCAP draft was
developed. Drafts were updated weekly
LCAP presented to State priority committee members and all stakeholders:
bargaining units, parent groups and community meetings
LCAP Hearing communicated in the newspaper, website, email, Spanish
and English radio stations

LCAP Goals
1. As a result of stakeholder input, highly qualified teachers will
provide a standards based education and help all students
make progress towards meeting local/state benchmarks in a
safe and supportive environment. Students will be prepared
for college and career. (District Goal 1, 2)
2. As a result of stakeholder input, students will be prepared to
be contributing citizens of a global society. (District Goal 3)
3. As a result of stakeholder input, parents/guardians will be
prepared to support students. (District Goal 1, 2)
4. As a result of stakeholder input, effective and efficient
systems will be implemented to prepare students for the 21st
Century. (District Goal 3)

A STANDARDS-BASED EDUCATION IN A SAFE,
SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT (Meets District Goals 1 and 2)
• Standards-based education in CCSS and ELD with credentialed
teachers
• Interventions for those falling behind, for CAHSEE, credit
recovery, summer school opportunities; ELD instruction
• Professional development for all Staff including Board Members
• Additional materials and supplies
• Personnel to support teaching and learning; content coaches,
learning directors, counselors.
• Career Pathways/Linked Learning Opportunities/College and
Career readiness

ALL STUDENTS WILL BE PREPARED TO BE CONTRIBUTING
CITIZENS IN A GLOBAL SOCIETY (Meets District Goals 3)
• Increase mental health services
• Provide full time special education director and full time
psychologist
• Offer additional health, nutrition, physical education, art and
music opportunities
• Increase college and career pathway opportunities
• Increase campus security across the District
• Enhance counseling services across the District
• Provide enrichment opportunities for students (clubs,
music, athletics, academic competitions)

• Capacity of technology infrastructure improved
• Purchase of technology and programs for additional access
• Staff to monitor technology usage
• Additional staff to provide clean and safe environments
