Zonta International is nonpartisan and nonsectarian; it is independent and takes positions based om its own values Zontians are: Honest, Trustworthy, Respectful to others, Committed to Zontas mission, Loyal to Zonta International executives and professionals working together to advance the status of women worldwide through service and advocacy Vision Zonta International envisions a world in which women’s rights are recognized as human rights and every woman is able to achieve her full potential In such a world, every woman is literate and has access to education, health care, legal and economic resources on an equal basis with men In such a world, no woman lives in fear of violence Biannial Goals Service Advocacy Membership Infrastructure Financial Resources Staff Credibility and Visibility Strategy Membership Increase membership by retaining and recruiting members who are committed to and actively work towards achieving Zonta’s mission Biannial Goals Achieve a net increase in the number of members. Ensure that the members of each club represent a wide variety of occupations. Promote responsible recruiting, rejuvenating, retaining, classifying and orienting of new members. Encourage clubs to recruit qualified members with an interest in the global mission of Zonta International. Continue review to achieve a more effective district division. Promote mentoring for a sustainable membership. Follow up • The governor reports the district result through the governors report 3-4 times a year • This information is gathered in an excel document for all districts, where you can see how far each district has come in their process to reach their goals • A presentation will be delivered at Convention in Turino 2012 How to make it work • It is not the Governor, who can do all the job! • The job must start in the clubs – all clubs should have a plan how they can contribute in reaching the Biannial goals • The planning will help you grow and you will see how much you really contribute to Zonta • The club result will be followed by the District Board How to reach the goals: • • • • • Decide upon what goals you want to focus on Set up an activity plan how to reach these goals Describe who shall do what and when Make sure that the goals are measurable Follow up and make corrections when needed Tack för er uppmärksamhet!
