Industrialism Spreads from Britain
• Industrial technologies travel from Britain to
America, causing an industrial boom in the
United States. Industrialization also spreads to
continental Europe and contributes to the rise of
imperialism.

How was the US similar to Britain in
regards to industrialization?
• The United States had:
▫ Fast flowing rivers
▫ Rich deposits of coal and
iron
▫ Large supply of laborers
made up of farmers and
immigrants.
