MORE GREAT
INFORMATION
Transmission of
Grades
• Peel DSB sends marks directly to OUAC and
OCAS at various times of the year
• You do not determine what marks are sent
and what marks are used for acceptances
• Make sure you have the proper pre-requisites
for the program to which you are applying
• YES, grade 11 marks are sent when applying!
Are All Marks
Considered Equal?
• YES! Summer school, Night school and Day
school marks are all considered the same
• Marks at night school 2nd semester are all sent
at the same time as daytime semester schools
• If you take a course with the Catholic Board or
other institution you must provide guidance
with your final report
Other Information
• Some universities/colleges may ask you to fill
out a supplementary application about
yourself (i.e. your interests, likes, reason for
applying)
• You may need to do a test, audition, present a
portfolio, or attend an interview
• Some programs may need a criminal record
check or even First Aid/CPR qualifications
Prioritizing Your Choices
Does it matter which order I
place my choices?
• For the most part, NO! Where there are
exceptions the institutions are required to
state this in their literature
• Best to prioritize your choices in the order that
are important to you
• Ordering in this way provides universities and
colleges with valuable information
