Our National Organization
Jack and Jill of America is a national
African American mothers' organization.
It was formed in 1938 by African
American mothers to provide a vehicle
for their children to socialize. Since then,
it has evolved into one of the most well
known women's organizations in the
nation.
The objectives of Jack and Jill of America,
Incorporated are to “create a medium
of contact for children which will
stimulate growth and development
and provide children constructive
educational, cultural, civic, health,
recreational and social programs.”
Since 1938 these objectives have been at
the forefront of the development of
children, particularly in the African
American community.
